Hola! Soy Ángela, artista especializada en retratos en acuarela y lápices de colores. Mi aventura con la pintura comenzó en 2021, tras la gran nevada Filomena, gracias al impulso de una amiga muy querida. Durante la pandemia encontré inspiración y motivación para explorar el mundo del arte, y desde entonces no he dejado de crear. Aunque vengo del mundo de la informática, he encontrado mi verdadero lugar en el arte, especialmente con los lápices de colores, sin abandonar mi amor por las acuarelas.. Me encanta salir de mi zona de confort y afrontar nuevos retos, siempre buscando capturar lo íntimo y lo cotidiano con delicadeza.

Hello! I’m Ángela, an artist specializing in watercolor and colored pencil portraits. My adventure with painting began in 2021, after the heavy snowfall Filomena, thanks to the encouragement of a dear friend. During the pandemic, I found inspiration and motivation to explore the world of art, and I haven’t stopped creating since. Although I come from a computer science background, I’ve found my true place in art, especially with colored pencils, without abandoning my love for watercolors. I love stepping out of my comfort zone and taking on new challenges, always seeking to capture the intimate and the everyday with delicacy.

Dibujo lo que nos rodea: rostros, mascotas, rincones, objetos que parecen insignificantes pero guardan historias. Con lápices de colores y acuarela, creo retratos personalizados que capturan lo íntimo, lo tierno, lo que merece ser recordado.
I draw what surrounds us: faces, pets, corners, objects that seem insignificant but hold stories. With colored pencils and watercolors, I create personalized portraits that capture the intimate, the tender, the things worth remembering.

Este trabajo de la Sirena capturada en el frasco de cristal me resultó muy gratificante. Desde el montaje en Photoshop, en el momento que me surgió la idea, hasta finalizar el dibujo me sentí totalmente expectante ya que era mi primera vez dibujando vidrio y un cuerpo humano tan pequeño en esta técnica. This portrait of Pedro Pascal was laborious; the photograph wasn’t very high-quality, and the features weren’t very clear. I had to rely on numerous reference images I’d found. It was one of the largest drawings I’ve done using this technique. Although the paper is also A3 like the others, the drawing is done on a larger scale.
Sadie Sink is an American actress, one of the stars of the series Stranger Things. Did you see the series? The actors were among the most drawn. A3 size. This drawing has been on display for just over a year in the window of the Jeco art store. And these days it has been the reason for the cover of the poster for my exhibition from October 1 to 15, 2025 at the Bohemios Socio-Cultural Center. And I hope it continues to be the image for future posters.
